    Born in Jersey, Sheila’s love of photography was not put into serious practical terms until her children were grown-up. Encouraged by her father’s success with colour slides, she began working in monochrome printing her own work and gained Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society.

    Sheila Francis retired to Jersey in 1989 after a teaching career in the UK . She set up her own studio a year later producing textile artifacts using a wide variety of embroidery, hand and machine stitching and involving the use of dyes and fabric paints.

My speciality is the field of aviation but my style is well developed and with 30 years experience I can illustrate anything a Client desires. My greatest accolade is being made an Associate Member of the Guild of Aviation Artists having had after 3 successful submissions in the London Mall Galleries.
